Common questions
Can I do an MBA without CAT?
Yes. Executive, weekend and online MBAs usually admit on work experience, an interview or their own test. IIT Jodhpur’s Executive MBA (Technology) uses its own online test, and IIM Mumbai’s executive MBAs take IMAT or a valid CAT, GMAT or GRE score.
Can a fresher do an MBA without CAT?
Yes, but not through the IIT Jodhpur or IIM Mumbai executive programmes, which ask for at least 2 years of full-time work. Freshers can take XAT, CMAT, NMAT, SNAP or GMAT for full-time programmes, or an online MBA that has no work-experience minimum.
Is an online MBA the same as a full-time MBA?
No. They differ in format, fees, network and how employers read them, and none of these programmes can promise a placement. Compare the programme’s own page, fees and what it says about placements before you decide.
